William R. Claiborne is the managing attorney of The Claiborne Firm, P.C. Mr. Claiborne is a well-known and well-respected litigator focusing in the areas of catastrophic personal injuries, high stakes family law matters, civil rights litigation, and public corruption.
Since founding the Claiborne Firm in 2008, Mr. Claiborne has litigated cases across the Southeastern United States including jury trials in both State and Federal Courts, exposed public corruption in numerous government agencies and police departments, and recovered tens of millions of dollars for clients.
Additionally, for more than fifteen years, Mr. Claiborne has helped clients successfully navigate the most challenging family law matters including high asset divorces and high conflict custody matters.
In starting the Claiborne Firm, Mr. Claiborne chose to handle a smaller number of cases so that clients of the firm would receive superior representation and to litigate the cases that matter most to individuals.
Beyond delivering results for his clients, Mr. Claiborne has sought to change the systems and institutions which caused the harm. Many cases handled by the Claiborne Firm have received local, national, and even international news media coverage. By exposing the perpetrators of these wrongs, the Claiborne Firm has played a direct role in attacking injustice and forcing reform.
Mr. Claiborne is an active member of the State Bar of Georgia, Savannah Bar Association, Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, and Family Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia.
Mr. Claiborne is a 2000 graduate of Emory University with a B.A. in Political Science. At Emory, he was the 41st College Council President and a member of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity.
After graduation from Emory, Mr. Claiborne worked for the United States Senator Zell Miller in Washington, D.C. for two years.
Mr. Claiborne received his J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2005. While at UGA, he received a full scholarship as a School of Law Foundation Scholar and was selected to be a pupil in the prestigious Lumpkin Inn of Court.
Will has four children who attend Savannah Country Day School. Will and the kids are active members of Christ Church Episcopal in downtown Savannah.
