After you hire us, one of the first things that we’re going to do is notify your insurance company about the wreck or the injury, and notify the other side’s insurance company. It’s important to understand here at this point, those insurance companies, have the money, and because they have the money, they don’t want to help you. We want to notify them about this accident, but at that point, they’re not here to help you. They’re here to pay you as little money as possible, so we will handle the communication with the insurance company from the minute you hire us going forward.

One of the things that happen after one of our clients has been injured in a car wreck, quite frequently, is that they’ll get a call from an insurance adjuster. This person’s going to act like they’re your best friend calling you up. They want to check on you, see how you’re doing, but that person is not there to represent you. That person is there to represent the insurance company and to try to pay you as little money as possible. It doesn’t matter how friendly they act on the telephone. At the end of the day, they are not your friend. That’s why we handle that communication with the insurance company on behalf of our clients.
